He Turned A Camper Van Into A Mobile Office

This post contains affiliate links.

This is Carlos’ fantastic tiny home in a van. He has lived in the house by choice for the past three years, enjoying living with less and making an income while travelling through Chile, his country. He converted the van into his living space all by himself.

Outside, you’ll notice a fairly standard Ford Econoline E-350, 1981 van ā€“ that’s what makes the inside so incredible!

When you go inside, you’ll find his home office, which he works from while travelling his country. The van’s interior includes laminate wood cabinets with blue fabric accents. Carlos said he wanted the van to be a hybrid between a mobile office and a campervan, so he could start “living with less to enjoy more.” The dinette transforms into a bed, and he has a sink kitchen area across from his desk.

The only thing missing was the river šŸ˜€

    Otherwise, it’s pretty cool!

Great job. However, I would be in need of a bathroom.

Very nicely done. Creative use of space and components. Some sort of WC would help. This can be a learning example for the visually aware person who wants to explore ways to save space while meeting most needs.

I guess I’m not that tech savy. Most of the items I see I don’t have a clue as to what they are. Grey/beige sort of square thing by silver walls and windows…is that a toilet? Black box behind driver’s seat? White components mounted to wall under headphones?

I do like the kitchen setup.

…although a Sprinter van would have been nicer.

great job, great video and especially great show of the real deal. I would do the same and anyone else should research deeper to find out how to resolve the missing shower. I love your van.

My hubby is fascinated with van dwelling and follows many dwellers on utube.the vans look so cramped and cluttered. This I could do. It looks so clean and organized. My motto with living small is: everything must have its place and everything must be put in its place after use.
