This is Brent Rose’s life living in a “teched-out” van down by the river.

He bought a large van RV and made several modifications to make it better to live in while traveling.

Brent added solar panels, a fingerprint-secured safe, and much more. He’s currently taking a year-long road trip throughout the United States.

    That is a sweet – if probably quite expensive – setup. Wish I could have it when he’s done!

    I agree with Ben Lunt above – more power to the folks who want to spend more time in the great outdoors, or tone down their tech. But I’m not one of them. My idea of the perfect vacation is a little shack by the beach with high-speed internet. ;D

    This rocks! I know that Brent’s style of living tiny isn’t for everyone. Several times I’ve read comments about how expensive a featured project was or statements about how a project hasn’t followed the concepts of the original tiny house movement.

    I guess that’s what you could call evolution, variety, individuality, personal taste or any number of other things. Brent seems to be quite the techie! And what a nice tricked out van.

    As always, I’m walking away with a couple awesome ideas to file away for my own project. Brent, thanks for sharing!! And what do you say, maybe keep us updated with any additional ideas?
