I retired as a traveling Physical Therapist, and full-time in a similar rig I designed and built.

Permanent Traveler is the way to go!

that is amazing. I been in a long distance rig and out back theres room for changing clothes and sleeping. the only drawback is going to be the price. not many truckers can afford for something like this.

Totally awesome. I know semi trucks are expensive but if this is what you do for a living a few thousand more will not make that big of a difference. After all you already owe $100,000 plus for the truck. Probably will save a hotel room as well since you do have to rent sometimes to take a bath. This could be a tax write off waiting to happen.

You’re dreaming if you think a rig like this is going to cost ‘a few thousand’ more than $100,000. It’s going to cost a lot of thousands. Look it up.

Look on-line, I did. Actually I pretty much already knew the answer, but got curious and looked. Don’t recall what the site was, but one company one only mounts the living space to existing cabs, and, depending on the unit, it could cost up to $140,000.

I don’t see any problems when you earn 6-7 000 dollars per month when you work for someone. When you own a truck you can earn about 10000 dollars in USA. Many truckers in Europe buyed few trucks after 5-10 years.

I have seen these on the road and wondered what the inside looked like. It’s very nice. Might be a tight squeeze for two, but it could work.

I am so interested in how you live and work.
I too want to get back into this industry.
To live like this and drive all over North America, would be
so ideal for me and my two small pups.
Could you email me the size and where you drive to.
Do you cross-border and have the officers given you any grief because
of the over all size of truck?

This is beautiful but as a woman who lived with a trucker and rode along much of the time, not only would it be very expensive, it would drastically affect what you were able to haul. I am in BC Canada and my ex drove through the mountains pulled Super B’s, a cab that size would have made the rig to heavy and long. If you are just towing a single trailer on relatively flat terrain you’d be ok I guess, depends what you are hauling, a trailer of horses to competition or a race car. But if you are hauling product and makes cents on the mile you are going to be cutting into your profits with the extra weight.

What a rig. That would have been perfect for me about 15 years ago.
I could easily see a couple who truck together using something like this and there would be no need to have a house somewhere along their route to call home. I know a couple who truck across Canada who has their rig fixed up so they can prepare proper meals on board but not as fancy as this one.
    Kudos on this one

A trucker has a hard job to do. Some comfort helps to relax. Its always great to have bathroom and kitchen on board to be independent.
However, it has its price. This one shows although its a bit dark inside.
