Today I wanted to show you this round tiny cabin.
It’s designed and built by a company called Lexa Dome Homes.
They specialize in building wooden domes with arcing panels.
These panels actually replace the conventional stick-built (framing) construction method.

These wooden structures are unique because they’re able to get an inner ceiling height that’s not normal with geodesic shelters.
This makes it possible to add 2nd and even 3rd floors to the design if you wanted. The materials used are also mostly recycled. Many of the materials chosen are reclaimed at the source.
People are using Lexa Homes for garages, barns, homes, sheds, relief structures, kiosks, gazebos, park structures and more.

Adorable design! I went to their webpage, and sadly, most items were “Check back later! In development, now.” Not much to see. However, I’d be more inclined to buy the tiniest model, for just a bed, sink and loo, for guests. The larger model has too few windows for my taste; I’d feel trapped inside and that’s NOT a good thing!
PLEASE GET SOME PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE INTERIOR OF THESE HOMES, I KNOW I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM.
Extraordinary, how similar the layout is to Buckminster Fuller’s original Dymaxion house, which I have walked through. It’s a dome, but not geodesic like Fuller’s.
I agree with some of the others, we need to see more pictures of the inside of these wonderful homes!..
