Kelly-just try it! I am 50 Something, and as I got older, LESS IS MORE!One also grows weary of dragging your “Stuff” around…I may very well need to move to a State that is amicable to the Tiny house Movement…(Southern California isn’t)

If it entailed some sort of screening process between land-owner and camper/buyer, it would help. Regular ads in RV magazines and a few other outlets proved disastrous for me when I advertised for a couple or single to live on my land free in exchange for part-time maintenance work. I got people recently released from prison whose relatives were ready to kick them out, people who couldn’t afford gas to get here, and people with no skills whatsoever who expected to be taught how to use a lawnmower. We have all heard the Air BnB horror stories; there should be some screening method before connecting responsible people with mentors or mortgage-holders to save everyone a headache.

This could work -the development that I live in could support tiny houses IF they are larger than 600 sq ft. You would still need water and septic, but tiny homes with minimal impact on the forest would be welcome.

i like the website and the idea. could be helpful in listing my private property for rent for a tiny house, or for camping. i have more development to do, but am looking in this direction. … i have concerns that sally mentioned. when bringing people into one’s private refuge, one wants it to be a good thing for both.
