The Hope Springs RV Campground is welcoming Tiny Homes to come join their community in Hughes Springs, TX.

The rural spot has everything you need including water, sewer, trash and Wi-Fi. The 20-acre campground has a pond, plenty of birding opportunities as well as fruit and pecan trees. Owner Erica asked us to tell you about this great opportunity for tiny house parking!

From the owner:

We are now a “tiny house friendly” RV Park, although we cannot accept permanent homes on a foundation – that changes up everything for all parties involved.

Our monthly rates are $275.00 plus electric. The $275.00 includes water, sewer, trash, wi-fi hot spot and mail service. The electricity is metered and charged per kwh according to the SWEPCO rate. We have a few sites that are perfect for a tiny home with a larger lawn and pull thrus. All of our sites are pull thru and spacious, with full hook-ups. We also have a basic laundry facility, pond, walking trail, Sunday church services and accept pets (no aggressive dog breeds). Although we are a rural location, we are located within a mile of City Services of Hughes Springs, Texas, and amenities.

Well duh! It “is” a caravan park after all. Don’t want to rent? Buy your own land and pay property taxes like everybody else who owns land does. Simple, no?

Ya that’s unfortunately the trade-off. Either rent, or buy property 🙁

I used to know a female Doctor from Springs TX. And…I want to move there either before I build my THOW or after.
I will save this page for future reference.

Alex… thanks for including this kind of info in the newsletter. It’s always great seeing the houses but it’s so helpful when new info comes in on communities and parks.

Thanks, Michael — I appreciate the feedback — we will keep it up! We just started a new category called “Lots” dedicated to this: https://tinyhousetalk.com/category/lots so over time we’ll have a nice list of options. 🙂

It would be nice to see stories of people who actually move into these types of spots and after 6-12 months tell us their thoughts.

I agree with Zachary, too bad there is not enough places to park a TH. Still looking for land up here in Northern Ontario Canada at a reasonable price.

Ya it is a bummer. But we are trying to post about all the land we find out about 🙂
