Hobohemians: Tiny Living in a 54 Sq. Ft. Travel Trailer

Hello Alex and Tiny House Talk readers, I’ve followed your page for some time, and it was where I saw my first tiny house, Dee Williams house! (who we later got to meet in Seattle).

That was in November 2013, about a week after my partner and I had gotten rid of our apartment, things, and jobs and left to live on the road out of our 6ft x 9ft 1987 teardrop trailer. We’ve now been living out of it happily and successfully for several months and couldn’t be happier.

We left Ontario, Canda November 1st and drove through the US, up the West coast and through British Columbia and we are now heading back to Ontario and will begin building our very own Tiny House! Within a month we will start our build!

So for us, we are upgrading in size as the house will be 8 x 20 and our space now is 6 x 9! We are aiming to have our build be interactive with our local community as there is a growing interest in smaller more intentional living, but there aren’t many tiny tiny house people in Southern Ontario.

We hope our journey can inspire people locally the way people a part of this movement have inspired us. I’ve attached some photo’s and a video, feel free to share it.

Look forward to hearing back,
Kat 🙂

Nice job making the trailer over into something that works for you. I did that with a 13′ Boler (actually 10×6, they include the trailer tongue in the 13′) and it makes a huge difference when things are arranged for your particular circumstances. I bet that 8×20 is going to feel like a palace!

I love the creative work and the little trailer but I HAVE to say what everyone is thinking. MY GAWD GIRL, you could be the beautiful Sandra Bullock’s twin!!! If this clips makes it to Hollywood you might be getting a call to do “double work”. And it pays very well. 😀

I know! Right? You look just like Sandra Bullock, my favorite star! Oh, your house is cool, too. Lol!
