Nice construction, I do like the closed loft for intimacy, how do you heat the loft in winter.

Heat rises so if you have the lower half heated, the top (loft) will be warm also. Love the bay window but couldn’t stand all that paint. I think somebody that likes white walls would love this one.

Yes the loft should keep warm 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team

And for $70,000 it can stay for sale! 28′ is about 220 Sq Ft, so why the full sized refrigerator and oven/stove? Custom tile in the shower and 1/2 tub? Yes, it is beautiful and I see good ideas, but for the square footage, it’s too pricey.

I agree it can stay for sale @ $70k, but why full size refrigerator and oven/stove? Maybe they need it. I know I would. If I had one of these I would be parking in an area where the local shops aren’t “just down the road” so I’d be fully utilising the fridge and I do multiple cooking at any one time so a large (std) size oven/stove would be a necessity for me.

Tiles? Never for me, too much hassle to clean, especially in the grout areas. While tile “can” look nice cleaning is such a hassle. If I was going that look I’d purchase tile patterned board (no idea what it’s called in the States – we call that stuff Formica here in NZ, even if it ain’t) for the cleanability issue.

We call it Formica too. I’m a very boring eater. I’ll make something in my Instant Pot (pressure cooker) and eat it all week long! In the winter I eat oatmeal every morning. I’ve lived in my apt for 10 years and have never used my oven/stove or dishwasher – sounds crazy. I have an induction plate, Instant Pot, rice cooker, Vitamix – what more is there? I also have a food saver (sucks the air out of bags), so I freeze fresh fruit in the summer and freeze it for my oatmeal in the winter. I’ve always been someone who’d rather do other things and not have to think about “what’s to eat?” As long as I have fresh fruit, veggies, lentil chili and oatmeal, I’m a happy girl……….

I do like the idea of full-size appliances 🙂 I cook almost every meal at home and right now we have “tiny” appliances that drive me bonkers! Particularly the freezer space, haha. — Tiny House Talk Team

If people need a full-size kitchen and storage for several weeks of food, maybe a tiny home isn’t for them, just saying. Not that you need to live in a 2400 sq ft manse, but maybe you could bump up to a “small” 500 sq ft dwelling?

This is beautifully done. So much space. I understand for Habitat, this would be fund raising to build more homes for those that need it. Great job.

Well first off the price is too high. Next I would not have my washer/dryer next to my stove. Large appliances take up too much space. Tiny living means going smaller. No counter space. Where do you eat? Where is the living area? Great bathroom. Where is there a closet? Needs more pictures.

The washer next to stove is likely an electrical issue. It’s just easier that way — it’s like that in my apt., too — Tiny House Talk Team

There is a space among those white cabinets/closets for a TV, so I assume that the living area is along the opposite wall, not shown in the pictures. And that bay window is wasted since it’s not near the living area.

Thank you for the feed back everyone. This tiny home is actually approximately 400 square feet with the double loft. The double loft is hard to see in the photos.

We went with apartment size appliances because that’s they most common request we’re getting in our design consultations. I’d say large lofts and full size appliances are our number one request.

There is a lot of white in this tiny home but it is offset with t&G pine throughout.

The tiny home stays warm and cool with a mini-split heater/air-conditioning unit located just above the bay window. It will heat and cool the house quite easily.

The living area is adjacent to the office/media center you see in the middle of the tiny home. Space for an office is another request we get often. There’s room for a free standing couch or chairs. The office/media center is removable for those clients that don’t need it.

Very nice…! But at that price, not by the hair on my chinny, chin, chin…! So huff and puff all you want, but I’ll never let you in my wallet, or check book for that kind of money….!

There are many surveys done that confirm that most tiny home buyers want full size kitchens with full size appliances and full size baths. This is where the market is headed. We want it all….
