This is a 120+ year old Finnish Log Cabin that has been modernized and is now available as a vacation rental in Biwabik, Minnesota. It’s called the Green Gate Log CabinĀ and to me, it’s the perfect tiny house,Ā wouldn’t you say?

From the outside, it looks like a very simple cabin from the 1900’s. But when you step inside, you immediately notice the modern updates! Inside, you’ll find a living area, kitchen, bathroom, and a cozy upstairs sleeping loft. Enjoy!

Comfortable and homey looking. Real nice.
    Looks much larger than 15 x 15.

Thanks Richard! Its the perfect size for a couple and the loft bedroom makes it work as a ā€˜houseā€™ without feeling cluttered.

I love it, so warm and cozy. I could actually live in it, now that I’m retired and don’t need suits and high heels, etc to take up storage. I would need to add a small oven, to bake scones for my tea (daydreaming here). I would even be willing to schlep laundry to a laundromat so as to avoid making this beauty any bigger. Nice, sturdy stairs and railings and a loft with lots of headroom add to the overall comfort. Now, that was all pretending this could be mine to live in; in reality, it is perfect for a vacation. Beautiful decor, my kudos to the owner. Bookmarking this one.

I see now there is a countertop convection oven stored out of sight of the photos.

It was a tough decision, but we opted for the undercounter cabinet space instead of an oven. But yes, there is a countertop oven/toaster stored in the closet that can be used for scones, etc šŸ˜‰

Leave it to the Fins to show us how to get that much living space out of 225 sq ft. Love every inch of it. And to think it can be duplicated by USA manufacturers perfectly.

The different tasks of daily living, almost radially combined, confer great functionality in the centricity, therefore maximum reception, not dispersion of heat in all the senses… The materials are very sober and consistent with each other and in the context

I so love this as it reminds me of a girlfriend’s house — and her dad was Finnish and built their family home here in Canada. The layout is rather similar and very cozy. Would love to live in a comfy place like this.

This is so warm and cozy and rustic and inviting. I love it! Everything is beautifully decorated and still keeps to the old style cabin look. Great job!
