@Holly Morrison similar huts have been in the UK for quite sometime (years) now it’s got to be said, many are scattered all over the Lakes (I’ve had a few holidays in similar ones in the Forrest at Ambleside) I too like in the NW Highlands of Scotland in the UKs outdoor capital as it happens 🙂 and if my memory serves correctly there are some in Scotland, however I truly can’t understand why there are NOT a load more, when planning laws in Scotland particularly have been greatly relaxed in the last few years, where structures that would never have been allowed are suddenly going up all around us, it’s just amazing when you open your eyes and start to notice how much there is going in in the way of totally new structures or extension wise, we all tend to walk about with our eyes closed and thus they pass us by unseen, I have often been in awe of many I have seen.
We are currently seeking an old waterside cottage to long lease up here but that is also virtually impossible as they are either left to go to ruins or they are holiday lets very infuriating to say the least, got a situation at my fathers sorted by having a guest suite built in the garden! Thankfully one down one to go, I have a massive interest in such structures and IF I could get a piece of land to lease I would likewise build a hut up here to live in but looks like I will just have to keep looking (two years so far phew) I will be not only disabled but far to old at this rate
