My Flip Frame: Tiny House Furniture Solutions

This post contains affiliate links.

I got an email recently from Johanna Paige, a grade school PE teacher who invented a nifty solution to counter-less bathrooms.

A mix between a medicine cabinet and a table, this wall-mounted organizational tool allows you to hide your make-up, medicine, and toiletries, and have some extra counter space in your tiny house bathroom. Even cooler? It acts like a piece of art, because you can add prints and pictures to the glass frame.

Even though this is perfect for a bathroom, it could work in a tiny house kitchen or living space too — wherever you need a little more storage! If you want, you can get yours on Amazon today.

Well thought for small bathroom, or elsewhere!

I don’t understand the fad of pedestal sinks that are not utilitarian – pretty edges though without a proper countertop and vanity underneath for storage, seems like wasted space, and why not a storage cabinet with built in mirror above? I’m a tiny house fan and even the idea of standing scrunched up with one knee against a toilet and squeezed between the cabinet and the wall doesn’t seem too inviting or practical to me. I like the cabinet and art combo idea for other areas, though, so don’t wish to come across as being critical of this clever space saver.

I do agree that in general even a tiny sink with cabinets underneath is the way to go.

Pedestal sinks are NOT a fad! Ask anyone in a wheel chair. They are a godsend and enable someone to actually use the sink.

    Nice idea for small spaces.
For tiny living spaces that are on wheels and intended to be moved on a regular basis, how is the flip-down front secured so the contents do not spill out?

She didn’t create it with tiny houses on wheels in mind, I don’t think, but I imagine since it’s on slow hinges that things more or less would stay put? Maybe you could use some painters tape to secure it when in transit.

A medicine cabinet with the front flipping down instead of to the side…genius and simple! Seems like it could be used above the sink with a mirror instead of a picture and that would be useful in a bathroom…any bathroom imo. The picture in the frame would be for other places in a home…the living room, bedroom, kitchen, etc. Wish I had thought of this!!!!

I know — such a simple change to an old classic that makes it so much better!
