Family of 5 Goes on Tiny Home Roadtrip in a VW Bus

Here’s a new tiny house documentary I thought you might also enjoy watching.

It’s about a family of five who decide to embark on the journey of a roadtrip.

And it’s not just on any “normal” motorhome/RV/travel trailer.

They’re doing it in a 1981 VW Westfalia camper van.

Each family member can only bring one backpack.

The family plans to cook all of their own meals using a propane stove & refrigerator.

Also, you should know that there are no plans of staying at RV parks.

The couple are co-founders of Faircompanies.com which is a popular website on simple living.

They also have a popular YouTube channel where they show you all kinds of tiny homes.

By going on this road trip in a 50 sq. ft. mobile home they are discovering just how much they really need to travel and live.

And they’re also getting to visit and film several other tiny houses and other folks living simply.

    Thank you for sharing this. I am so eager to hear stories of families living in small homes. We just moved our family of four onto a boat to live fulltime.

    I was keen to see how this family handled practical matters such as washing, bathing, getting and disposing of water, but was subjected to a barely-audible
    account of the husband’s very general ideas on living. Are there no seatbelt laws, especially for small children, in Oregon and Washington? The trip seemed idyllic but I’m sure the children must have fought some of the time, no?
