This post contains affiliate links.

In this post I’m excited to share the Eagle 1 micro home with you. It’s a 350 sq. ft. two-story, steel-framed tiny house built on a foundation.

When you walk into the main floor through the french doors you’re greeted by the living room and kitchen.

Keep walking towards the back you’ll find the ‘front door’ along with the bathroom. Behind you are the stairs to go up to the second floor where you can enjoy a spacious bedroom with a 50 sq. ft. upstairs deck/balcony.

The main level is 10’x20′ and the second floor is approximately 10’x15′ with the 10’x’5′ deck/balcony I told you about. Ready to check it out? I thought so! Enjoy below.

I’ll show you the floor plan below but above you can see how it all works. The front door is in the rear right of the building but you can also decide to use the french doors instead. And one of my favorite features is the upstairs balcony from the bedroom. Pretty cool, right? Enjoy the rest of this micro house below:

THIS IS AMAZING. THANKS FOR THE INTERIOR PHOTOS. JUST THINK IF WE COULD HAVE COMMUNITIES AND SUBDIVISIONS OF HOMES LIKE THESE, SO IT WOULD GIVE PEOPLE A SECOND WIND AND A CHANCE TO START OVER, THIS WOULD BE INCREDIBLE. BUILDERS AND FOLKS IN THE INDUSTRIES, I HAVE JUST PUT A BUG IN YOUR EAR. YOU COULD PUT YOUR COMPANIES ON THE MAP, WITH THIS APPROACH AND CONCEPT. HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A SECOND CHANCE WITH HOMES LIKE THESE.

This is nice, quite livable with balconies.

If the downstairs window could be switched to the other side of the house yo accommodate a place for a television or small entertainment system, I think this is a perfect little house. I love that this seems solid and spacious without being in a shed tule building. It’s very cool!

i totally agree with russell. a window on the opposite wall, maybe kitchen and dining area would be good. kitchen is pretty minimal. upstairs could be use-expanded with murphy bed. i have seen the do it yourself versions which might keep costs down i guess.

Poor layout. A lot of wasted space. Could be more convenient with better use of space.

It’s a custom made modular – customers are invited to use the space any way they like. It can be all kitchen, all storage or everything can be multi-use – your choice. Some customers with the ability to build, just buy the shell and do the interior to their liking. The advantage is the patented composite steel wall/floor/roof system.

Beautiful, but cost prohibitive. Would rather spend 30k on a bigger house and not deal with the stress of getting permits.

This TH is quite superb and a great price too. Love the storage stairs with handrail and heaps of space on both floors. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Aus

I like it. Would probably figure out a different look for the exterior.

Thank you for featuring our Eagle Microhome. I’ve been following Tiny House Talk for several years now – since I got a 10×10 of my own. I love seeing all the different ways that people find for living in a small home.

I like this – though a friend and I were wondering where a stove would go. I might do the couch a little differently as I don’t think that one would be all that great for sitting long term, but I get the impression this is as much a concept layout as anything, am I right? I also wonder how this would fare in a colder climate here in Ontario.

Looks like you need to be able to handle more web traffic on your site!

In looking at the photos for the 2nd and 3rd time I’m amazed at how much storage there is. I think the only thing I might change would be to get a smaller shower pan and give a bit of bathroom space to the kitchen. Otherwise, I think it is a wonderful house.

    Beautiful!!!

This is a favorite. Looks almost identical to the lay out my friend came up with that is an architect when discussing options for my 216 sq ft detached garage conversion desires.

We just had the kitchen in the far right corner as an L with a 21″ stove, & shoulder high fridge.

The bath, ideally, would either have a tub and slightly different configuration to squeeze similar size proportions, or I would consider a Wet Room to help shrink it down.
The stairs, the BR with closets, French Doors, and the deck… super similar.

We were thinking it is too hard to make my garage “into” a 2 story without significant engineering, ties, supports etc so this got shelved and I pretty much decided to keep this cost considerate we would simply stick with the 216 s ft floor plan. Also there might be a Land Use review needed with that change made too boot.

I wonder if the City would be open to your design? I understand they like the exterior to match home design features. It seems quite doable to do that with some minor changes.

Can the shell be installed and then I could add my kitchen, flooring?

What heating have you considered? I know I would need firewalls on 3 walls due to set backs, likely not a big deal.

Really love this and I am certainly curious, too bad you are not local in Portland.. love to have a quote.

Here is a bit of info regarding my ADU project.

Again.. great lay out. Makes me really want to think about that 2 story more, especially if it might be doable.

Thanks for sharing your Tiny house
Nicely done and it seems very comfortable
FYI I did a check on where the head should lay each time for sleep
I learned that my head should rest facing south
It’s because of the magnetic fields which cause sleep issues for heads facing the wrong direction…isn’t that crazy
You know how dogs turn around and around to find that perfect poop spot…well guess what
I learned that it does make a difference with sleep. I do experience better sleeps now
What was it going to hurt for me to test this out and it worked
Your bedroom is perfect for my Tiny house plans which allows me to place my bed the right direction
    Perfect Tiny house you have.

    Hey there,

I came across this post and tried to find the company and have been unable. I’m wondering if this house ever came out or if it was just concept. I’m also wondering if you have recommendations on complete kit homes, with plumbing and ready to be plugged into electric or solar.

    Thanks much! Great post.
