Dodge Caravan Minivan Converted into Micro Motorhome

This post contains affiliate links.

This is a Dodge Caravan Jucy RV Rental that has been converted into a mini RV. Once you take a look at it, doesn’t it remind you of a modern-day VW bus?

From the outside, you can definitely tell that this isn’t your everyday minivan mostly because of the pop-top, but also because of the color scheme. When you go inside, you’ll notice it has been converted into a compact micro motorhome. It sure would be fun to travel the country in something like this, wouldn’t it?

I saw SOOO many of these in Yellowstone National Park . in 4 months I must have seen 50 at least. Chatted with a few people renting them and they liked it alot

This guy did essentially the same thing, but with off the shelf stuff from Cabela’s and Home Depot in Kia Sedona. It borders on the brilliant, in my humble opinion. Kia Sedona cost him 6K, with only 18,000 miles on it. Score.

If a person had to do a lot of driving for their work, this would be great. If you needed to stop and take a break, or to stay a night or two somewhere to finish up a job, this could be very do-able.

The car-top sleeping area can only be entered from an outside ladder, so you don’t have stand-up room inside the van as you do in the VW campers.

I’ve done some camping/sleeping in my older style caravan and I think it was much more practical without all the built in stuff in the back this one has. It also looks really cramped inside. Sorry, but this looks like a lot of gimmick, although I’m sure it will appeal to a certain type of person. Possibly Barney the dinosaur or maybe the Constructicons, judging by the color.

I think rather than having a sleeper on top, that would be better as a pop up so that you can stand inside it. anyone who would travel in this wouldn’t need that extra sleep space anyway.
