This is fantastic…I love the book shelf in the living room and the quirky tilt of the photos hanging above the window! It looks cozy, comfortable and inviting.

Gorgeous! It’s a bit like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences.

And that, in my opinion, is the best kind of blend 🙂

Absolutely beautiful. I love the vaulted ceilings, large windows and super long drapes; how charming! All it’s missing is a claw foot tub.

Beautiful is not enough to say about this house… It just leaves you short of breath, when trying to explain it… It is just utterly stunning in every sense of the word, and it’s decor is just simple but yet feels so elegant when viewed with this house’s interior…

I lost the power to breath…this is almost perfect. I love the blending of the old natural stone with modern touches, like windows, accented by iron work and wood (like the stairs), The layout is efficient yet cozy, made cozier just by closing the curtains. Love the nooks in the wall. It looks like there are outside stairs going up at the back of the house. Where do they go?

Already saw this one at another small house site. Yes, it is very nice.

I live in an old stone house (old wine press house in my case). From that I can say stone is a poor insulator but is a wonderful heat sink. The house needs to be heated each and every day, all winter (may not happen for a short term rental unit). So, if the wood stove is the primary heat source, it needs to burn every day. Do that, and the walls will radiate heat back into the space. Don’t do that, and some might instead just “feel” the cold “oozing” out of the walls and feel chilled. Just something pictures don’t tell you, but something to consider if you want to rent it in January.

My paternal Gramma was a Scot, MacInnis. I just love seeing these old and new stone cottages. I really feel so warm to the fire place and the so low windows with drapes. Just love it all and am a coffee drinking wannabe also Natalie at 78 yrs youthfully challenged. 🙂

Wow, what a wonderful vacation this would make. I just love the warmth of this place, the storage in the stone. I’m not a fan of the haphazard pictures on the walls (no offense), don’t feel it goes with the ambiance. In this case I would think less is more. That being said, what a wonderful place!

OMGoodness, what a beautiful place. As others have said, it is just perfect. There is nothing I don’t like except the reading chair in the loft. 🙂 Needs a comfy rocker.

I am Irish-American and have yet to make a familial visit to Ireland, but we might just have to go soon so we can stay in this lovely, idyllic spot.

If you know who they are or it is your cottage please contact me on [email protected]. Many thanks, an interested resident of Balbriggan.
