Totally makes sense with this design, with any tiny home design to get better head room in the top floor…tons of room and so airy.
I can see me enjoying time in this tiny home

I think you could have put a larger solar panel on the roof if you had turned it horizontally instead of vertically. I would have used the entire roof for solar panels with the exception of the skylight area.

First-Thanks for the video Jenna & good interview!
Second- Great build Laura & Rory!
For 30K in materials you have a great pad. The concrete countertop is cool & the space utilization is good throughout. I was glad to see the exhaust fan in the loft. It seems so many builders neglect to install adequate ventilation. Again, wonderful job!

So where in Vancouver is this place exactly? I only ask since it is illegal to live in a THOW. We have ridiculous laws that prevent us from owing AND living in a THOW here. Average rent for a 2 bedroom apartment in Van is $1650/month. You can’t buy a house for less than a Million in Van, so if you are single and have a job, not a “career”, you are not going to own your own place without help from someone.
