Little Sunriver Cabin in Central Oregon

This is a Central Oregon Sunriver Vacation Cottage you can rent via Home Away.

Why show vacation properties? Sometimes these older cottages and cabins are cleverly designed! We can always glean something from examining the open layout and, of course, the beautiful exterior of this home. It doesn’t share the square-footage, but this is certainly more of a “small” home. Might give families some ideas for downsizing!

No… enclosed woodburners are the best. They provided controlled burning and therefore more heat to the home. Stone fireplace mean 99%+ of the heat goes up the chimney and never heats the home. In some cases they will even make the home colder.

Is there ANY POSSIBLE way to get a plan or even a drawing of the floor plan? This is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a smaller retirement home! Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi Slim Pickins — The only way you might be able to find one is if the rental company happens to have it. You could contact them on their website and see if they might know!

I most certainly agree that Google can help, and you may even find this unit’s floor plan. Keep in mind that the city/county where it’s built may have plans on record for the building permit(s). But, any decent contractor and/or architect can “reverse engineer” a set of building plans if there are enough pictures. This also gives you the opportunity to make changes to better suit your needs and/or tastes.

To all of you looking for floor plans. Use Google or other search engines. Many floor plans for cabins and such with measurements. You can at least get an idea from them.

Concur… even Nils Pearson’s famous award winning home you can get floorplan pictures complete with dimensions. Mr Google is your friend.

This is ABSOLUTELY perfect for my plot of land. I have searched floorplans for several years, but still not found the perfect one. This is it!
When someone does find it, please let us know. Thank you all. Nicky in the UK!

“Why show vacation properties?” Well, in my opinion, you date before you marry, you test drive a car before you buy, and you (should) research any major purchase or financial decision before moving forward. Seeing vacation properties here may not be just a genesis for ideas, but also provide an opportunity to experience tiny living before making the commitment. Try before you buy (in).

Way too big for my tiny tastes. But nice to see, nonetheless.
