In the land where dreams are real… and poetry is upsetting you…as it is now …Alone on a golden cloud we love and seems true.

The views are beautiful but I could never afford to live in CA.

      Beautiful place!

Hudson, I’m with you! Knowing the financial mess in the People’s Republic of Kalifornia, I could not afford the taxes if I was given this place.

I don’t know where you live, but I just moved back to CA from MO and my property taxes are about the same for a house worth much more.

Interesting! What about state taxes? I think MO and CA both have state income taxes, right?

        • Steve in Micco July 7, 2017, 8:24 pm

          Christine,

I live in Central coastal Florida. I have a little over 29 acres with 4 creeks criss-crossing my place. I am a little less than 5 miles west of the Atlantic. My property taxes are under $1900. Florida’s constitution forbids a state income tax.

Steve is that 1900 a month or a year?

        • Steve in Micco July 8, 2017, 1:52 am

          Tom, that’s for the year.

  • Nicola Vowles July 6, 2017, 5:51 pm

PLEASE where can I see a floor plan of this cabin?

  • Tom Osterdock July 7, 2017, 4:18 am

I like it. I live in Kalifornia but not in the high rent district. I do love Felton though. I could not afford this and I would not want to afford that.

Lovely place and what a location!

  • Christine July 7, 2017, 5:11 pm

Yes! I’m sorry, I thought you were talking property taxes, probably because I was so shocked at how much they were in MO (as compared with CA or CO where I’ve had homes). Definitely the state tax is higher here (highest I think of anywhere), but it’s such a beautiful state and so much to enjoy that I think it’s worth it 🙂

Wow. Real estate too expensive for my budget. Would rather spend half a million in Hawaii for tiny house/condo with great environment and better finishes in the home. But that’s just me.
