Welcome to the Little Coconut in Kailua, Hawaii. It’s a lovely micro cottage that you can rent or vacation in.

It’s custom built and surrounded by mango and hau trees. It’s also angled just right so that you can enjoy the cool trade winds.

Staying here starts at just $75/night. Not too bad for Hawaii, right? And yet another great way to try out tiny living.

WOW!!! What a deal! What a location! Just the right amount of space and what great details! Like the windows, the carved trim, the outdoor shower, even the door pull that looked like a flip flop. Walking distance to everything, if you’re young and fit. 🙂 Oh, and that price! For this private location not bad at all. try to get those amenities at a hotel for this price. But that’s not the tiny life, is it?
    Well done, again.

The thing is, that you can have a tiny house and a pretty big covered verandahs, front and back, and that’s where you’ll spend most of your time, a BBQ and a bed, a couple of cattle dogs..get rid of the tv…what else could you ever need.

Tiny is fine but micro tiny for permanent living?
It may work for vacation there with good weather year around to sleep in but for me its too small.

I live on the Big Island but haven’t been to Oahu in ages. Sounds like a great getaway. I lived in Kaimuki and Kaneohe back in the seventies. It would be fun to revisit some old haunts. Your place looks great. Fran Kelly

Alex, I like your taste and ideas of tiny houses. Can you do me a favor? Please help me find a tiny cottage/room above the garage/tiny storage shed for rental around this neighborhood across Sharks Cove Bay in Pupukea, HI. Got a year to do this. OR, connect me with someone who can do it, thanks. Appreciate your time….ALOOOOOOOHAA..
