I just love this cabin. It is so cozy and warm, and since I’m a Boomer that can’t handle a ladder, the downstairs bedroom is perfect. In addition, I love being in the woods/mountains where there is lots of snow.

This is a cozy cabin in a beautiful area, perfect for getaways to Stevens Pass and Leavenworth. The price is reasonable, too.

Wow, this is an amazingly impressive home. If I had the money I’d snatched this up in a heartbeat. The price and pictures are perfect! Thank you so much for sharing.

This cabin is not really in Skykomish, but is about ten miles farther east in a tiny collection of cabins called Scenic and is across Highway 2 from the Scenic trailhead to the Iron Goat Trail. However, Skykomish is the closest post office. It is anything but isolated, because it’s very close to the highway. Also, it’s about 6.5 miles from the Stevens Pass area and is not the closest cabin to the ski area. There is a cluster of almost 50 cabins of all sorts of sizes and styles, some for sale, just 1.5 miles from the Pass. Interesting puffing and photo angles by a determined realtor.

      Hi Kathleen,
Nice to know someone else knows this area as well. I was going to say, that they wish it was the closet cabin to the ski area. While this is a cute cabin, I personally think it a bit overpriced for the area and the cabin that it is. I have not looked at the zillow site on this, but it would need to have a lot of land with it for the price asked and I do not think that it does. While it is not isolated it is still a little far from a major town. However, it is a beautiful part of the country, but too close to the highway for my liking. The cabin is well done and cute inside and I like that it has several bedrooms and an upstairs loft.

Sometimes access is so difficult construction costs can be very high. Hard to judge without seeing the site. Site might back up to a national park, making it more valuable for access, but also making acreage a non-issue. Again, hard to judge the site value without the details…Close to a highway might not be bad in snow country. Older folks need them ambulances once in a while. And yet not close to a major town. That’s a plus!

From my ski house in Vermont I skied down a trail to the lifts. After skiing all day skied down another trail straight to my house. Never had to get into a car during those whiteouts. Priceless!

So quirky and fun, I would have loved to rent it during a skiing holiday.

As for the steps, if you can’t do steps, don’t build steps in your own tiny house…
