Oh my, do I ever love that porch. I’d screen in the side section for extra comfort in bug country. The interior is a bit fancy for my tastes but I think they’ve solved the bathroom door issue fairly well. Not having to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom while still being able to nip in there from the bedroom without going through the living room is a nice feature.

Yes, please. Downstairs bedroom, stairs to the loft, closets & storage, real kitchen. I’m thinking this is my size of tiny.

No I don’t know how I missed them on my coast to coast search for builders…Very good use of materials and features. The upgrades were tasteful and if you consider the competition, very advanced as manufacturers go. The added width will be an issue in some areas but with the current Texas design with the beam walls with calking is in a lot of the ranch style of high end homes a major sell point.

This Tiny house has practically everything anyone could need in a cozy home! It is both roomy and attractively styled, and would fit perfectly in almost any community. I could definitely see myself wanting to buy and live in one of these versus the overly large “McMansions” that are popping up all over creation! Huge houses take more maintenance, utility payments and local taxes, so why would anyone want to bother, unless, of course, you were the “Von Trapp Family”…LOL! Thanks for the GREAT article and photos! Keep up the GREAT job! Greg B.

Beware – one of the sets of pictures on the above site for their available tiny homes is embedded with a bunch of malware. I emailed them to make them aware of it, but who knows when they might address it. So have your AV and anti-malware going and updated if you visit their site.

Looks nice but doesn’t make sense to me… If you’re going to build a wider house on wheels, why would you waste so much space on a walkway to the bedroom? It serves no purpose but to increase the cost of the space. If you have that space, why not increase the size of the living area. This is too much luxury for too little gain.

Love the layout, with a couple of changes. I think I would rather have the side porch square footage included inside the house and just have a front porch. Also, I would make the island on wheels so it could be pushed to a different area if more space was needed. Great plan!

I agree. It is a very nice home. But other than to look very pretty that wrap around porch is a waste. I can’t see it being used at all. I’d certainly be able to live in this year round. Lots of room and character.

I agree. I think that side porch area would be put to better use inside the house and that the island should be on wheels. But really like this house and it really seems live-able.

Add storage under the stairs and you have the perfect house for me. Thanks, Alex!

Or maybe make that space a place for your washer/dryer combo.

I really love the lay out and modern appeal of the home. I have been getting your newsletter and looking at the homes posted on it but this by far my favorite.

Love this tiny home it’s small but spacious, and love having a bedroom on the main floor

Love this house. Stairs to the loft, with a rail that would stop a fall off the stairs if someone missed their footing or a child was visiting. Storage under the stairs would be nice. Downstairs bedroom and a nice bath. Perfect for someone like me, or a couple. Nice loft for a visitor to stay for the weekend! I like it!

I really like this model. I would replace a closet with a stackable w/d if there wasn’t another place for one. Would be fine with a smaller refrigerator if it was cheaper to buy and run.
    Nice house!

The perfect home for most retirees. Thanks for showing something for all ages and physical limitations while still keeping it small and reasonably priced.

I’m very curious as to how much this build cost.
I agree with the storage under the stairs and possibly. And it seems to be about 13′ wide ( I’m thinking most people won’t go for a special permit to tow it :o)
Maybe the bedroom and porch are a “super slide” lol
The place looks great and the colors, floor and appliances all compliment each other. Nice job… keep the ideas coming.

This is nice, like other replies stated I would put storage under the stairs, closet of sorts, leave the porch on the front of house but take away the side porch and extend the kitchen/living area out, makes more sense to me.

Really sweet little place. I love the built-in storage and everything
is tastefully done and up-to-date. It would be extra good to have
still more storage under the stairs — otherwise, what’s not to like?

Seems to me that the wrap around porch takes away too much living space. Would rather have a proper area for dining, especially in something with 400 s.f….Island then may work.

Like the front porch though, and would definitely leave it.

    Hi,
Wow!! What a nice house!! I love all the build in storage and closets. The kitchen is really nice! The island is nice but it kinda over powers the kitchen. It takes up a lot of the floor space. It’s too bad your kitchen couldn’t be a little wider and then it could accommodate the island. I love how everything is brand new, and I love the tiled backsplash the. I love the counters in both the kitchen and bathroom. Awesome stairs and the handrail is great! I love the loft area. The wrap around porch is great!! This tiny house was done up well, great job!! Enjoy; Carol Perry

What is the Price? Their website does not tell you.

How tall is the loft? I’ve been looking for something that could accomodate some fairly tall book cases for an upstairs library.

I also agree with a few people who commented on the side porch used for more of the inside of the house…this is a beautiful home! With this design on a average what would someone be looking at for purchase?

    • Marcy

Kim, I was wondering the same thing so I went to their site, but didn’t find pricing. They have a number of interesting models and show the floor plan, but I saw no specifics in regards to square footage or price.

Thanks Marcy for letting me know that…I wish they would put the average cost along with all the other information.

I think the park models are better for two people (just my opinion). I like the downstairs bedroom and the fact that the loft has more headroom.
