This is a 360 degree rotating micro cabin in designed by Telmo Cadavez in Portugal.

From the outside, you’ll notice it’s a simple but beautifully built micro cabin with a large window that can be used for passive solar.

When you go inside, you’ll find a bare bones interior with multi-functional furniture that gives you a fold down table, seats, and a fold down bed.

Video: 360 Degree Rotating Micro Cabin

Its a rotary / cinematic tiny cabin, designed by myself and constructed with the help of my cousin and a carpenter our friend.

Totally ecological, made with pine wood, cork (for insulation) and black slate for cover (and also wood in the interiors).

Inspired in the old centenary shepard car pull by cows, I have re-adapted the design (to assimetric) and the function (the well transformed in rotary / cinematic movement).

Being able to rotate in 360 degrees (patented functionality), the cabin allows the guest to enjoy the desired landscape at any time, to optimize solar light and also to ensure a great interactivity with the user.

We took about 6 months to built it, only with draws of my own and hard intensive work with the carpenter and some steel work to for the rotary /cinematic system.

Eventually I have patented it in 2014 (national and international) so we are now making our way to produce it for commercial purposes.

Very cute design and inspiring. How lovely to be able to turn to the view you fancy, or the sun.
Would be a lovely wilderness shelter.
Or I could imagine this with a secondary building with kitchen and bathroom.

This cabin is beautiful, artistic and divine!!! What a fantastic way to readapt the sheppard cart. An art lover such as myself can see the beauty in the brilliant design and creative re-imagining. Using the cork for insulation is really neat. I can see this as a fantastic quiet space for my son and husband who are autistic as they get stressed out with too much stimuli. Thanks for sharing.
