This kind of appeals to me, although it’s local might suggest a screened porch unless they are part of the south without bugs. I have never BEEN in the Southeast without bugs, but I suppose there are some places…. Not too sure I would be stacking firewood under the deck, don’t they have termites in the Carolinas?

Design wise, this is a fabulous place. Love it.

Perfect, for me. I wouldn’t change a thing, except maybe storing the firewood a little farther away. I would be using the outdoor space all the time, in all seasons. I would buy this!

I would have to get a bigger 3/4 refrigerator also and build a room on the porch big enough for a full size fridge and a deep freeze. Being out that far you HAVE to have a way to store food for days and weeks at a time when the weather is bad and you can’t go to the store. Bears, Coyotes, Mountain Lions and other predators don’t get to it bringing more problems

I’m new here. Is this for sale or is it just an example for people to see what is out there?

LOVE this! it’s 99% perfect, the only thing I would change is put a 3/4 or Apartment sized Refrigerator in it, I’ll sacrifice a lil bit of counter space, that can be gotten back and more by having a rolling Kitchen Island made out of a Microwave cart that also holds my cooking spices, in order to have a refrigerator that I can actually use. You cant put much in those little refrigerators, Or I would sacrifice a little bit of the Outdoor space and build a room just big enough to hold a deep freezer and full size Fridge. Being all the way out there where that is you HAVE to have a way to store food when the weather gets bad and you can’t get out to go to the grocery store.

I love how rustic it is without sacrificing style. That small kitchen leaves something to be desired, though, and I’m thinking of what it would be like to live there, not rent for a vacation. It could have easily been L-shaped with the sink on the exterior wall so it could have a window above it. Put a full-sized fridge where the sink is now. That would make it all so much more usable by adding counter space and a fridge that will hold enough food for more than a couple of days. The rest is great, though I can see why a screened porch would be desirable. The bugs are terrible in the South!
