Thanks for posting this – a bit of nostalgia for me.
I grew up in that area of South East Cornwall. Used to surf Whitsands all the time. Most of the chalets there are vacation rentals only. Back in the 80’s most were not much more than fitted garden sheds but now, with the second home property boom hitting hard again, there is a ton of money coming into the area and some beautiful renovations happening. Good for real estate – but bad for locals who rely mostly on the tourist industry and cannot afford to buy homes at such high prices (the price of paradise). I love the design of this, but don’t think its a year-round home, plus its a very exposed headland in the winter gales. Saying that, thanks for posting. Try looking for other gems in Cornwall and Devon, there’s a load of small 2 up-2 down cottages of <500sq ft. And, if you ever visit Britain, visit Cornwall, an amazing place. Keep up the great work.

Any chance you can show us the floor plan for this beautiful cottage? It seems to be very well designed, but even with all the pictures it is a bit difficult to get the overall layout. Thank you. Love this!

A beautiful and lovely cottage with an incredible site/views….I love the use of
the porthole windows and how the theme is incorporated in various locations
    throughout the design.

Out of all the tiny houses, this must be the perfect size for me. It has everything I need, like a kitchen with storage, a full bedroom with a closet, a living room with a regular couch. Room for two people to pass each other, lol. Of course there is the view which is priceless. But I am more of a hills and woods kind of person. Love to visit the ocean but I would really worry what would happen to this cabin if a real storm were to come. Wonder how good it is anchored. Love the layout but for the setting I got in mind, it would need to be wood inside and not such stark white.

This is IT!! Oh gosh I wish I had some beach front property because I would be duplicating this lovely little home! The only thing I would change is the degree of elevation to climb going home after a day on the water.LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS TINY HOME!!!

The funky fish mirror fits well with the port hole windows. The furnishings and colours make the house look cool.

I’m not much into the nautical look, but this house had me drooling. All that lovely white beadboard, accented with touches of blue! Those porthole windows! That adorable bedroom! This place is perfect!

Can you possibly contact the person or group who built this and get some specs, especially a floorplan and cost? I WANT THIS!!!

  • January 4, 2015, 7:38 pm

I am totally skitzoid over this house. One side of me adores it, the bedroom, the view, the decks… everything; while the other side of me is pretty sure its part of a set for horror film about a guy who entices women up to his cottage, gives them a little drink and a big shove over the side… But otherwise…

    OMG!!!
    It literally glows!
If I only had a few weeks to live, I would want to spend at least half of them at at this house, if it was summer…
Never been to England, the word “Cornwall” makes me think of farms and tiny hens, not beautiful beaches and ocean views…
and look at this house from the same site with a suspension bridge, WOW

Who needs hotels when you can stay in places like this? if you are rich, that is.
Folks who want the plans, maybe you should email the owners for the architectural firm. I bet it would be very expensive plans.

One of the prettiest little gems of a home , laid out perfectly. A good use of the space, and it does appears to be much bigger.

What an absolutely gorgeous, perfect tiny home! Being a dedicated flatlander means I cannot adjust to cliff dwelling (that’s no place for children, either, is it?) however. I’d love to put that on a Florida beach!

  • Carole D.

Has anyone receive an answer when asking for floorplan? This is the perfect size for a tiny home and I would love to see a floor plan to estimate the sizes of rooms, etc, etc.
