What are your thoughts on a 10-foot wide tiny house?

Is the extra space worth the extra weight and inconvenience for towing?

See for me, it would work because I wouldn’t plan on moving my tiny house very often, if at all.

What about you, though?

I like the size but at 300 square feet there should be enough room for a first floor bed. And the height of that loft is wholly inadequate. It’s shallow now, imagine how shallow the head room will be when you put a mattress in there.

Looking at the loft, it looks like the skylight might allow you to stand up, this would also be a good candidate for the windows that turn into a small deck like structure — sorry I can not think of the word I really want to use for that description.

I really like a lot of the designs. Personally, I don’t care for the gray colors. But that’s minor stuff that can be changed. I like the steps going up to the loft, but do NOT like having to crawl in and out of my bed. Also, making the bed would be hard on the knees. I would have enclosed the cubby holes in the steps so the steps opened from the to with hinges. Too dark to see what’s in the back of the deep spaces.

I like the hidden freezer and the size of the kitchen! It’s hard to tell the size inside because of the distortion of the photos, but it does look like there would be room for a love seat and a chair or two. I like the porch, and the split front door seems bigger than most I’ve seen.

I also like the lighter wood. It seems to keep it bright inside. The bathroom seems big enough. Love the door to that as well.

I like it, but agree that the loft seems too low, and there should be an option for sleeping on the first floor. It seems rather unfurnished. Some of the dead space on the main floor would work for seating/sleep options. I don’t know the criteria for park models, but this is like a THOW that I saw listed for 25k with 3x more sleeping space and less kitchen/bath. I think park models go for quite a bit more than that though, which is one reason why I won’t be getting one.

You can actually get decent functional Park Models starting at around $25,000.

I’ve loved all “tiny” houses for years now. The only thing holding me back from making a purchase is where I could put it. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles and would love to stay in the area. Any suggestions?

I like this model, l do, but I would rather make it into a standard tiny house on wheels. I think that could be done by doing some rearranging in the kitchen area, I like the small freezer as fridge idea, but I would lose the L shape part. On the other side a drop down piece would make it into a bar eating area. I also would have to make the loft height more suitable. But overall beautiful job.

How heavy is this tiny home? What kind of towing capacity would a vehicle need to have?

I’m not sure, Megan, but you could contact Wishbone and ask them. This home is probably already sold though because it’s from 2016.

I like the idea of the freezer in the countertop, but if anything goes wrong and it needs to be repaired or replaced, I hope they’ve figured out a way of doing that without having to take apart the entire countertop.
