I grew up in a modest-sized home with one bathroom, two parents, and three siblings. It can be done!

What a wonderful family home Greg built there! Has a lot of neat features. And looks very well built, could easily handle a family with boys too 🙂
Millions of young families wouldn’t be indebted today, had they chosen this.

Really like the bunk room. Nice idea for a tiny house with kids that grow into large kids. Teens can put a little curtain across their bunk for some private space. Nicely done.

Great comments! I too grew up in a tiny house – five of us in about 550 sq. ft. There were no interior doors, no closets, no kitchen counters/lower cabinets. A huge old oil-burner took up a third of the living room, leaving space for a small couch and an old spinet piano. The bathroom had a small, metal shower stall and a toilet, but no sink. Another family lived in the basement. It was drafty and cold in the winter, hot in the summer (-25 degrees in January).
On the positive side, I grew up with the confidence that I could endure just about anything. Poverty has never frightened me. We would have been thrilled with a house such as this beauty, especially my mother, who endured much hardship and still managed to instill solid values in her children. Thank God for my mother.

Kudos to all the one bathroom people. We had 4 kids , two parents and until now I never knew we had a problem. My Parents lived in that house 30 years. We grew up there, grandskids stayed in summer and when they both died all of us including brother inlaws and sister-inlaws and it was no problem. Maybe more love and less space demands is part of our problem today. The house is nice. Thanks for sharing.

This is an absolutely beautiful home. I could not be more happier for the family that is moving into it. They will realize that the closeness will just grow the love within the family. Very well done and lots of storage. I am all for a full size bathtub so kudos to that one for sure. I absolutely love the little window off the bathroom would be very nice to grow herbs and things like that.

This is a very well done THOW. Nice layout, workable kitchen and I like the way the downstairs bunk room was done. I would use this space for a clothes closet and small office area as I have no need for the bunk beds. I like when they utilize the stairs for storage and other areas, such as the couple where most of the loft floor is underfloor storage. I say use all the areas you can for storage, built in book shelves etc. I also liked the one unit where they used the underfloor of the loft for drop down storage for the kitchen, for spices and such.
Anyway, a very nice THOW that should serve them well.

Just had to say a huge Well Done! This is hands down my favourite Tiny House design I’ve seen! Very liveable , awesome inclusions, beautiful workmanship! I hope one day to build my own tiny home and thus will be the model I choose! Bless the lucky family that gets to call this one home!

Love this. I have two daughters and ONE bathroom. I tell people that my girls are learning negotiation skills with one bathroom. They are also learning boundaries in shared spaces, sharing, noise level, & a bunch of other great skills by living small. I could see my family of three in this THOW!
