279 Sq. Ft. Tiny Cottage with Two Bedrooms

This is the 279 sq. ft. Grand Air Méditerranée model tiny cottage by Louisiane Residences Mobiles.

It measures 8.80m (28.8ft) in length by 4.20m (13.7ft) in width. The cottage offers about 26 square meters of space which translates to about 279 sq. ft. When you go inside you’ll find a kitchenette, compact bathroom, and two bedrooms all on one level so there’s no sleeping loft. Storage is minimal but still pretty good use of space, isn’t it?

I love it! The glassed-in front, facing the deck and whatever wonderful view this tiny house must have just screams relaxation to me! The kitchen appears to be more than adequate for vacation, and for full time living, I might only add a little larger fridge. I really like its wood color and slab front simple design. Personally, the eat-at counter would be sufficient for meals, and I might prefer to eliminate a permanent table in front of the seating area. Maybe put in one of those slick wall bed units that pulls down over a sofa? Y’see, that’s way I could have the second bedroom for a closet! LOL. I am afraid I would have more clothing than over it guests! All in all though, this is a real gem of a tiny house. I.Want. It.Please.

Hi like the design quite clever use of space. However floor area conversion not correct 8.8 x 4.2 m is 36.96 sq m. which on conversion is 398 sq ft (to convert sq m to sq ft multiply by 10.7639 (ie there are 10.7639 sq ft in 1 sq metre) Regards Ross

Actually the plan shows 6.6 m x 4.0 m plus the walls, so with the walls, it should be approx. 315-320 sq. ft.

Thank god I finally found it! I’ve been wanting a house with slightly more square footage than this one but have had hell trying to arrange it with 2 bedrooms, this helps a lot! And a bonus, the toilet separated from the rest of the bathroom which was something I desperately want but never could work out in a practical way!

Very nice. Suggestions for storage. I like the built-in sectional. Does it have storage under it, either pull-out or lids on hinges? Put a pull-down table at the end of the L shaped kitchen counter. Then, you could lose the big table in front of the sectional. Beds in the bedrooms should be a bit higher, so pull-out drawers could be under them. Shelves above the beds with wicker baskets or above the windows or both. On the empty wall in the kitchen above the L shaped counter put open shelves or narrow cabinets This would be another nice plan for an older person or persons.

I’m pregnant and live at my mom house .
always want a small place to call my own ,
she some space in her back yard .where I wish I could do a little tiny home for me and my daughter.
don’t really need a kitchen just a little area for us to eat together and two rooms for me and her . Don’t have a lot of money. But everything I do is to help out my mom and the rest is for my unborn child. I hope that soon I will be able to have a place to call my own home
