The stepped window treatment is a nice look, but it does limit what you put in front of them. If they were all set at the highest point, it would give you more wall space for furniture. Overall, very nice.

LOVE the inside, LOVE the outside! Interested why the cupboard is up so high in the kitchen area? The kinds of windows you used and where you placed them are just great!!

It looks like the cabinet placement is high so you can install a refrigerator.

Liz – I think the refrigerator will go underneath that kitchen cabinet.

Thanks Liz! Lisa and Helene are right – we have a refrigerator under those cabinets. The toilet and refrigerator hadn’t arrived at this point – we’ll be posting updated photos (and more details about materials) soon on my blog: http://6000milestohome.blogspot.com

Fifth wheel really is the easier towing, so it is great to see as you so seldom see a fifth wheel design in the THOW. Good space – love the bathroom door and feature bedroom wall.

Beautiful and sleek! The stairs are manageable and have the added benefit of storage. I don’t think I would want to put any furniture on the wall where the stepped windows are, even if they were higher, because the front door opens directly to that space. The bathroom isn’t quite my style, but if someone gave me this beautiful tiny house I’d learn to love the bathroom as well!

I like the copper pipe for the sink and shower. Neat idea.

There are several things I like about this tiny house: the white walls with the dark wood windows, the size of the kitchen and bathroom sinks, the hidden staircase, and the washer/dryer. What I’m not fond of is the exposed pipes. Sorry, just not my cup of tea. Great job, overall.

The copper pipes, which add a touch of whimsy, are my favorite parts. No, wait; the stairs are. No, wait, the windows are. No, wait, the french doors are.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I didn’t really know how I felt about the copper pipes, but your comment about them adding a touch of whimsy is perfect!

Love it. The hidden staircase is such a good idea, with the drawers too great.

The woodwork is lovely… but those shelves with no sides or rails are USELESS for a house on wheels. There is NO way to secure anything you put on them, so everything you’d store there would have to be taken down and packed (WHERE???) every time you move the house. I wouldn’t want to be keeping a stash of moving boxes and packing materials (and again, WHERE would you keep them?) just so I could put away my dishes, books, and pantry items EVERY time I went somewhere.

    • November 11, 2015, 12:20 pm

Hah, very good point! We aren’t planning to move our house often at all (perhaps twice in it’s lifetime), so we’re not too worried about that :). But yes, if you were doing the tiny-house thing to move around a lot, you’d need some different storage solutions.

Actually, if you planned to travel a lot, you’d be much better off getting a 5th wheel trailer. They can be very spacious and attractive, and most have a good deal of closed in storage space. It just depends on your priorities – if you want the amenities of a house then that’s what you should look for. But you won’t find them in an RV, which gives you freedom to pick up and go with very little effort and preparation.
