Great design, light and bright, and very inviting. I would like to know who makes the refrigerator in this THOW.

I don’t know if you have an answer from the builder yet re: refrigerator but that looks like an ecosolarcool DC refrigerator. I had one in my off grid cabin.

What did you think of your cabin fridge?

I used it for almost 2 years and it worked without fault. You are instructed to defrost every couple of months so good to add a large cooler to your possessions to hold your frozen food when defrosting. It held more than I anticipated. I had a small solar system-745 watt with 2 universal 500 batteries and I was able to run the fridge, lights, TV, vitamix blender and shark vacuum. You would need more batteries or alternate power if you are living in a less than ideal solar site.

I have this fridge in my container house and we LOVE it. It is a 10 cu ft by LG.

      http://www.homedepot.com/p/LG-Electronics-10-cu-ft-Bottom-Freezer-Refrigerator-in-Smooth-White-LBN10551SW/205054127

Honestly feels so much bigger than 10 cu ft and with the fridge portion on top its super convenient.

Great use of space inside and out. Love the look inside combining the white and natural wood. Plants are cool, and the palm coming out of the coffee table…….. nice touch !

Sheer perfection. The extremely clever storage all over, everything about the kitchen, all the little details, the layout, the design and look , the safety features, and I swoon over that little plant nook on the outside. Utter perfection.

It’s a Turkish dish towel. Google the term for images of more examples. When the design’s used for bathing, the towels are called ‘pestemals’ and are used in Turkish bath houses. They’re very trendy right now.

Wonderful design, you can see it in each step. Had a thought. Where the back of the bench is, you could make that so it comes up and have more counter space by the sink???

  • June 29, 2016, 4:15 pm

Commendable is the fact that along with a resolution technical/functional, there is a pleasing aesthetic reaserch.

I love this Tiny House! I could manage without the loft, as the sofa bed looks comfortable and stairs can be tricky for those of us who need the toilet during the night! I would rejig some things, but I could be really snug here. A log burner for the winter would be a vital addition. Bewutifully put together home.

I think this home is just awesome!!! I love the layout and would like to look into something like this for myself and my dog as we are purchasing hopefully by end of year. I would just need rails for the staircase and loft because my puppy follows me everywhere! Great job!!

I love this house. How do I get more information?
    1. How much does it cost to build?
    2. How long did it take to build ?
    3. How much does it weigh.
    4. What kind of a truck would be able to pull the house?
    Please advise

Have to say, first time I’ve noticed someone putting essentially a tiny garden on the back…and front of a tiny house.

Kinda like the layout but… still Jewel’s one is the one that really captivates my heart.

What is behind the white wood where the stairs are? If nothing then I would remove that large refrigerator and in it’s place stackable washer and dryer and where that white board is next to it put an apartment size frig.

    • Mary Dixon
      August 4, 2016, 11:29 am

The refrigerator is fine right where it is. To the left, I’d put a combo washer/dryer to save space and for convenience. Skip the stacking washer and dryer in a tiny house when space is so rare. I do wonder about space in corners of a kitchen. To the left of the stove is a big corner but can be where mechanical types of things for maintenance of the house but is that what it is?

      • Nerida
        October 27, 2017, 11:47 am

To the left of the stove? This is the first one I have seen where the stove is not shoved right into the corner and I am so glad at last to see it.

You need to have some cupboard space between the stove and the wall, otherwise you turn your kitchen stove into a hazard. Pot handles need to be turned outward from the stove, ie over that little cupboard/bench space, otherwise they get hot or splashed with oil, during the cooking process and difficult to handle. You also need a bit of wing room when you are cooking and hence a cupboard either side or some bench space either side of a stove is essential, but this is the first time I have seen it in a tiny. My pet peeve is the stove in the corner scenario. Glad at last to see a builder who has some sense.

Overall this is a very well done home. I just cant work out where the bathroom is in relation to everything else. Any clue?

I believe the bathroom is at the low end of the trailer, with the door opposite the front door. I figured this out by analyzing the window locations. Excellent design, beautifully crafted.

I’m with Anita _ where the heck is the door to the bathroom!!!??? I looked and looked – is one of the walls actually a door!? Sorry-it’s really a very nice home and very well done and I love all the details – but I guess you can tell that this drove me a bit nuts trying to find it!

How could someone contact the person who built this for further questions? I am a plant person and have been drawing out various ways to incorporate my plants. This TH is one of the best I’ve seen as far as having some actual decor and homelike feeling.

I just love this tiny house…I keep returning to it time and time again. I love the layout with its open air, bright and cheery layout and decor…excellent window placement…like the staircase…would like to have an outside railing for safety. I actually like the sleeping loft, infloor storeage and head room. The living area is perfect…love that converta couch, nice entertainment area, bathroom is perfect too…I’d love a bench in the shower stall, closet storeage is sufficient…only thing I don’t see is a washer/drier combo unit…thats a must…I don’t necessarily need all the high end finishes, i.e. 3/4 in hardwood floors and other high end walnut finishes etc, other than that the layout is perfect for me just a little tweeking and I’ll take it. The builders cost is rather high or my income situation but I still love it.

    August 4, 2016, 11:19 am

I’m with you Cheryl, I know there is one because they showed the shower and everything, but where is it? I think it is inside the front door. It looks like some light coming out that wall, lol.
I love this house though. Love the layout, I would just like a storage loft and I know this particular unit has no roof line for a storage loft.

Adorable and weĺl done. While I am claustrophobic and could never adapt to this lifestyle, I enjoy seeing what can be done in tiny spaces. This is clean, bright and open. PS….I am SO tired of people being offended by everything and anything. A dish towel…who knew?

This is the best Tiny House layout I have seen yet. Open, airy and welcoming. I will do some research to find the cost, plans and further details – this is one I could see my self living in for a long time.

The design element that leaped out to me as a designer was the copper tubing accents. It made the space warm. Of course I loved everything but the copper just made it pop and not feel average.

    August 16, 2016, 3:58 am

In pic 11 from the top.. you can see next to the door..there is a false wall with shelves in it. the bathroom has to be behind that wall. probably the best layout i have seen yet. sure wish someone would show the floorplan, costs. although, i suppose we can figure the layout.. measurements would be nice. great job. *and one of the only ones i have ever seen with the sofa/fold out actually -facing- the tv!..lol. (i hate those tiny side view tvs.) and it can easily double as your computer screen.

When I went to the website the builder had it listed for $69k something. Also had a list of all materials that went into the tiny house but when I went back to review the list again to do research, I can no longer locate it. I dont necessarily need all the highend finishes I’d also change the siding design on the outside but otherwise I love it

I am so in love with this house! The only issue that I would have is carving out space for my cats. (There’s no room for the small cat tree I currently own and in a small space like this, they will need all the exercise that catwalks could provide. And don’t get me started on possible locations for kitty litter boxes)! I have studied these pics at length, and I can’t determine if that is a cupboard to the bottom left of the fridge. There seems to be a copper pull, so I’m thinking it must open – that might be a spot for a box or two w/a cat door. Thanks to the builder for sharing this awesome house!

    • Natalie
      November 23, 2016, 8:03 am

I’ve seen a few homes Jean that have outdoor “houses” for the kitty litter. Essentially a box is added on to the back of the house with a kitty door into it, and you can empty the litter from doors on the outside. You can see one in the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClKZKUpqcH4

This must be my favorite tiny house I have seen yet. Love how open it feels with the layout and color, white and wood. Also love how well the space is really used.
I personally could never do tiny. We have many relatives that visit, or move in (with or without their dogs), plus many many critters inside and out. Not to mention I think my family is genetically all pack rats.
We are building a small house for my mom and mobility impaired Aunt. I love getting ideas for using space from tiny houses and the creative people who come up with all these great ideas.
If I had a more solitary life this would be perfect.
Thank you so much for sharing!
