That is beautiful! I’ve been wondering if you could use an incinolet toilet instead of a traditional composting one?

Hello Sheryl, yes, the Incinolet is doable in this design!

Steph I couldn’t find the bunk either but wherever it is…that’s a good thing. Nice house. Little woodsy but nice.

If you go to the link you will find the plans.
Central loft over kitchen and bathroom area.
      Washer/dryer beyond the kitchen.
Large closet beyond that at the end of the corridor.
Opposite the closet beyond the bathroom is a bunk bed room with storage below.
I agree that I would prefer doors to curtains on the cupboards.
Pushing the bathroom and stairs along to the far end would allow more space in the living area and loft access to the rear rather than the front.
Then you could put a railing above a single, whole width bookshelf along the front of the loft.

Gale, Steph: The adjustable bunk is the rear left corner of the loft. There is a tiny “incision” in the loft itself that allows that portion to be taken out and put in cleats lower down the wall.

Nice kitchen if there were doors and drawers on the cabinets. I do not See space to sit since it is custom buillt the owners must be happy

One way to add more sitting space would be to make the door swing out, instead of in. Put the hinges on the left side as you’re looking at it from the outside, and you can use the space taken up by the door swing.

Well, it’s 10′ wide which I think is more realistic for 2 or more people, so that should be applauded. It looks like it’s made for a chef but it’s a bit shy on lounge space. I like the extra large loft and wonder what will be done up there, a sitting/reading area maybe? It’s interior walls and exterior siding is way too busy and has too much and too many different types of wood which makes it lack cohesiveness. It’s trying to hard too look like the materials were scavenged, and it needed to be punctuated by different materials. I’m not a big fan of the tile on the floor and hope it’s not vinyl squares which should not be allowed anywhere vinyl would actually be wanted. For a unit which might cost $75k it is short on niceties such as cupboard’s and cupboard doors. The wishbone team looks like a good bunch of people and I hope them success in their endeavors even if their units seem a bit pricey

A three axle trailer would be my preference as well. The list of spec’s for this home state 9.2 cubic foot fridge and 3 burner stove. Sorry, but that is a standard 4 burner gas stove with oven, 30 inch and the fridge is at least twice the size stated. Not my preference for all that pickled wood but this is one of my favorites as far as the right trailer size and kitchen accommodations.

Hi Bob, thanks for the great feedback!

Those units are as described! Check out the Danby 9.2 cubic foot unit and the Atwood 3-burner range/oven.

Wow, what a neat tiny house.
Now that’s the way it’s done.
Looks very spacious and ideal for any one that chooses to
    live with less.
Roughly how much price wise did this house cost ?

What is the appliance under the steps?

      Hi Thomas,

That unit is a portable AC/dehumidification device. Works really well! However, we typically use mini splits.

I happen to love all the wood…so rustic looking. However, the kitchen is way out of proportion because the living room is too small. I lived, for twelve years, in a 32 foot motor home with, virtually, no counter space and found it is nice to have some (like three or four feet max) but it isn’t as necessary as most people think…the more you have, the bigger the mess. If it is ten feet wide, however, it will need a special wide load situation to haul it which will cost more. I love the stairs but I still couldn’t use the loft but I feel it is a very nice unit.

Oh this is very nice. Stairs that I could handle. Smaller kitchen more living room space prefer. But I don’t see the shower?

Hello Valerie, thanks for the great feedback. The shower can be seen here if you scroll down through the gallery; http://www.wishbonetinyhomes.com/gallery.html

It’s a wooden deep soaker with a subway tile surround.

Quick question, i did not see it previously answered, what about moving it at 10′ wide? Just need to get an oversized permit? How hard is that? thanks in advance!

    • February 23, 2016, 8:58 pm

Robert, it is a per-state permit. In NC it amounts to about $20 and is a relatively painless process. No “wide load” sign and pilot car, just some flags on the outer most corners. Hope this helps.

I really like that it is a tiny house with a spacious, well equipped kitchen. Cooking is half of life for me. The perfect tiny house for me would be a kitchen, a bed and a comfortable chair.
Funny how different we are: Others commented about the kitchen being way to large and leaving no ‘living room’ space.
I like that manufacturers don’t just make generic tiny houses, I love the wealth of different designs and ideas.

I agree with”Saga”. Although I may never be able to afford something like this, I love looking at some tiny homes, some that I would probably feel disappointed in, some like this one would be much more comfortable! A living room that would allow a sofa-bed situation for an old lady like me with orthopedic needs that might arise in the future wouldn’t be a bad idea though!

    Teal,
Nice ratios on the exterior. Pleasing, balanced.

Weight? How much of the three 6k axles plus hitch capacity is used?

Gadzooks! Is that a powered exhaust-fan over the range/oven! So rare, so necessary. Thumbs up!

Nice curve to the lower ‘L’ of the kitchen counter. No sharp corners to eviscerate the unwary. Thoughtful.

    • August 1, 2016, 6:02 pm

Thank you! We’ve not weighed it but it’s probably 15-16K #.

      All the best,

Nice, but gotta have a comfy couch, and no loft. Big or little kitchen does not bother me, since I rarely cook anymore. 😊🏠

I wonder what the height of this home is. Looking at the picture, I got the impression that there would be more head room in the loft.

    Nice design.

    • October 15, 2017, 8:32 am

Hello Joe, the home is 13’6″ to the peak at the exterior. The interior loft elevation at the ridge is around 4′.

Why not continue the railing on the stairs in the loft area……otherwise, very nice!
