Do the designers of these THOW really think about how they are used? There are so many things wrong here.

Anyone try to make a bed in a setup like that? It’s almost impossible. I am sure there is storage under the bed, but really were do you put clothes and other stuff?

Is there a place for the frig?

I think these guys should live in one for a month and see how usable it is.

Totally have to jump on this bandwagon with you. The kitchen has a great sink, but that is all it has. No stove, oven, fridge or really any counter space to speak of; I have a better setup in the tiny break room at my office. The bathroom is a good size but with the corner shower unit there is that huge wasted space next to it. In the world of tiny houses, you never waste that much space. Every square inch is valuable real estate. If they had used a square shower this could have been filled with cubbies for storage. There is no closet or storage cabinets of any kind and the book shelf under the bed is barely deep enough to hold a small basket. And such a deep space under there, it would make it very awkward to access it.

The description mentions that they are selling a “shell” and that for more money they can finish out the build. So I’m guessing this is just a set of sample interior photos, so you can custom design it and they will build to suite. If that is the case, they might have offered more varied photos specifically noting in the description that these are options.

I’m with you though, whoever designed the layout in these photos has never really thought about living in a THOW or even traveling and vacationing in an RV. It lacks so many fundamental things, most of all storage. Feels like a track home. Construction is probably good, but the whole thing lacks character. Just my humble opinion. And 2 cents for whatever it’s worth.

The interior photos do not match the exterior shots. The exterior photos show a porch while the interior shots show a centered entrance door and no porch.

I noticed the same thing. The interior ceiling doesn’t match either. It is a barrel, but the exterior shows a peaked roof. Weird.

I agree. The interior shots show a completely different house. The type and configuration of windows is also different. The bed and bath areas have hexagonal windows to the side that aren’t there in the exterior shots. Also, the interior shows double doors while the exterior has a single.

I’m with everyone else here. In addition to all of your astute comments, the exterior is just awful. No harmony at all with 3 siding choices, yellow paint and what seems to be a grey roof. Oh yes, octagonal windows in bed and bath, which are the two places you really need ventilation. These might be opening windows, but it doesn’t look like it. There may be a vent fan in the bathroom, however. Thumbs down.

isn’t it funny how we all see different things both good and bad? i was thinking it had a great floor level bed. yes, one would have to rethink making it up but no ladder, yay! all these ideas are great food for thought as we progress through our journeys to smaller living!

The THOW shown does not appear to be the one shown in the first photo. The inside of the THOW shows a curved roof. That is not what is show in the first photo of the outside. So I’m wondering what the THOW really looks like inside.

The inside of this one shows no living room and no loft. The text says there is a loft. BTW, there is no way to make that bed. I would take the bed out and put in a couch that makes a bed. That way, it would not matter that there is no living room. Just make the bed into a couch during the day and put it down into a bed at night.

I’m with you and everyone else about the bed. As someone almost 60 yrs old and living in a 26′ travel trailer, I do have to crawl into my bed from the foot end. And it’s a pain in the neck doing that. I plan on having that changed later.
I like the idea of having a couch/bed in that spot if nothing else. So, if the manufacturer is reading these posts, please think about some of the suggestions made. : )

PART 2: Also notice that the THOW in the first photo has a single door whereas the one showing the inside has a double front door.

    Not the same THOW.

Despite of all differences on the pics, the one level floor plan is great. Under the bed is plenty of space which is lacking in other THOW.
As they are saying it can be customized. the asking price seems to me right, too. I like it.

    9 feet wide? That’s a problem…

Wow! Very reasonable! These are beautiful homes and well built. I love the downstairs bedroom, and the bath design. Really neat for a heck of a good price! Somebody snatch these up quick!

I agree with Bobbi about the 9′ width. In the state where I live, a 9′ wide trailer requires a special permit and flagging to be moved. Two marked escort vehicles–one ahead and another behind–with signage and flashing lights are also required. The permit has a fee, and I doubt that most of us tiny-house people have access to free escort vehicles. 🙁 Maybe other states don’t require these sorts of things for 9′ wide trailers. ??

Confusing, the interior photos suggest there is a large double door entrance but the exterior photos are of 2 types of corner single covered doors (one with railing and one without). The interior photos also promote 2 octagon windows–one in the bathroom and the other beside the bed, however; the exterior photos eliminate, relocate, and exhibit only one octagon window. The distraction to “Find The Differences” in the photos is very confusing.
