I love this too. Stairs may not be in our future, but it’s way better than a ladder. W/D?

    where is the stove?

It is hard to seein the photos but there is a blank space across from the fridge (to the right of the sink, look for the vent-a-hood on the wall (the stove is not installed yet). It appears that an apartment size range will fit there (21″-24″ wide).

This unit just goes to show you what you can do with just a little more length in a tiny house. I know 26′ is long, but whoever lives in this one will appreciate the staircase that this length allows.

I’m assuming that’s a doggie door under the lowest section of stairs. That is a great idea… if the dog can jump through the hole, but I’m sure there will be a little set of portable steps for any pets to use once parked. I probably wouldn’t have put a door on that section – I have a doggie room in my big house (7’square) and it really stinks after having a dog cooped up in it over night, so I can only imagine this space after a few hours. This is an ingenious idea.

About the only think I don’t like is the fact that the stove will be directly against the wood paneling. I know it costs a little bit more, but as a home designer, we always try to get a minimum of 12″-15″ between the stove and any adjacent wall. At least, I would add a metal panel on the rear and side of the range to protect the wall there.

Good job! Nice stairs! Great closet storage. Huge bonus, full size fridge and washer!

How do you figure it’s a doggie door ? I only see it as storage and when I went to the website I didn’t see anything pointing to a doggie door. Thanks for the info =)

The last picture has what appears to be a doggie door and you can see the lowest bit of stairs through it. I’m not sure that it is a doggie door but it certainly looks like one.

We too have a side entry. We went with a Murphy bed instead of a loft. It opens up the floor and during the day to offer more room. We use the back side of the Murphy bed as a desk as well as a place to dine. Love tiny living!

This is probably a dumb question, but…it looks as if the space occupied by the combo washer/dryer is tall enough for a stackable w/d. I’ve seen that in several different TH builds. So, would a stackable w/d work in that space, or would something else need to be done there to make it work, or would weight be an issue?
