10 x 16 will need spec permits to move, right? I like the idea to be able to move anywhere I want at any time. There is a lot of TH for sale of late. Is this due to people growing out of them? Or people get in on them because they want something diff ? To me a tiny house is a way of life that is not set of rules that have to followed. I want to live the way I want to.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself…but this lifestyle was the only available option for someone who has never owned a home or has too many working years left. Having looked at this lifestyle in the past…was always able to find a place to live…but when my former landlord got arrested for assault last year at this time and died earlier this month…it hit me like a brick. I could become homeless in an instant through no fault of my own. This being the case…my friend found me (is loaning me enough money to purchase it) an SUV I can live out of this summer when I relocate to Oregon. I find a job…I start saving as quickly as possible to get a 7×12/14/16 cargo trailer to make a mini-TH to live in. Not much room…but it’s mine. From there…start saving for a small piece of land and purchase a pre-fab shed to make the home I expect to die in. This way…I’m not at the graces of anyone else to have a place to live.

Yes, it’s hard to really see the layout, maybe due to the lighting, and camera angles. I do like what seems to be the makings of a functional kitchen. I agree with the second comment, and am planning some thing similar. My main concern is not cost, but Big Brother cracking down on citizens simply trying to live a just life that admittedly does not conveniently fit into some governmental pigeon hole.

Another overpriced diy job. An ugly shed finished out like a hunting cabin. If he spent $29k on it he’s a sucker….
