This is an 8′ x 22′ tiny cabin on wheels by North Park Homes and Cabins.

Outside, you’ll notice stained pine wood encapsulating the tiny frame. The metal roof and front door are painted a beautiful cranberry red. To allow for extra outdoor living space, a covered porch extends off the front of the house.

When you go inside, you’ll find knotted pine covering every surface. The first floor has 144 square feet and the loft gives you an additional 60. The bathroom includes a stand-in shower and composting toilet. In the kitchen, you’ll find custom kitchen cabinets and a custom butcher block countertop, as well as a mini refrigerator. A tiny woodstove sits between the kitchen and living space where you’ll find a bench nook with storage underneath. A solar panel and batteries fuel the house and you can store your clothing in cedar lined closets which are sure to smell amazing. The ladder to the loft can be tucked away against the built-in storage shelves to allow more floor space.

I love the pictures I saw of this tiny house on wheels? Can I get a ball park figure on how much?

Hi Jackie, Katy from North Park here. So glad to see your interest! This model, as built, came in at just under $45,000. We are a completely custom builder and this particular customer had a lot of specific items that we incorporated into his tiny home for him!

I’m impressed by the wood burning stove and all the storage in this tiny house.

Trish, when you see the price tag of Kimberley wood burning stove you are going to be impressed, too. Its top of the line and about 3k.

Michael is correct Trish. This is a very top of the line woodstove.

My oh my, what an appalling waste of space… with the deck. Really, that space should have been house… you need as much space as you can get when you go tiny. Have the Porch and Roof as bolt ons. Wouldn’t be a big deal to disassemble for the (hopefully) few trips to another location.

    Just my 0.o2¢ worth…

Eric, I agree with you 100%. Builders should live in tiny houses to experience the lack of space and look for better solutions.

Hi Michael and Eric, Katy from north park here. This design was actually thought up by the customer and not us. We only build specifically what customer come to us with so he wanted the porch on it.

First of all, if there wouldn’t have been a porch then I would have only built the house 18′ long instead of 22′. I have lived in smaller places then this, there is more than enough space. I wanted a porch and a roof over the porch. Most porches that are on hinges don’t have a roof, or at least not a full one. If you have the roof and porch on hinges then there is much more chance for things to weekend and brake, even if you get good quality hinges.

Thanks Michael for the price on the wood burning stove. That is a lot, but to each his own (and he or she’s budget).
