I love it! Bright, pretty & efficient…and in Paris! I also love how the bed slides out; that is really smart. With Paris as your playground (beautiful parks, great museums, cool cafes, great restaurants) what more could one need?! 🙂 Very cool.

This is one I love and I am not a fan of built in stuff. Beautifully thought out, beautifully done, none of the cramped feeling that lots of built ins give a place. I love the clean white, black and red with the wood floor and the windows.

Congratulations. It’s beautiful. Would you care to include a floor plan?

Very nice and clever but 130 sf, I don’t believe it. As shown, it is at very least 150 sf. Could be ’round 130 without bathroom. A floor plan may help.
      Where’s the fridge?

There is a drawer near the sink that may be the refrigerator. I thought it was a dishwasher, but fridge makes more sense.

Very livable. Would love to have a few of these placed in various cities around the globe. Did not see anywhere for hanging clothes. Other than that, perfect!

this is very exciting – do love the hideaway bed, great option to the loft bed and means fewer steps which can be negotiated far easier for all ages. has a modern vibrant feel 🙂

Glad you like the hideaway bed too, that’s what I thought also (easier than a ladder loft). Thanks Mary.

I see the coffee table being swung away and tucked aside, but where does the couch go before the bed can be pulled out?

It looks to me like the “bed” slides out half way to become the “couch”. Very clever.

I don’t remember the designer right now – but the whole bed sliding out from under the kitchen, and the storage in the stairs, sliding furniture – etc. was featured in a ‘tiny house’ on here about 6 – 10 months ago – The kitchen was quite large for a tiny house – the owners loved to cook – the bathroom had a sliding door, that I think might have doubled as a book case, and the sofa somehow became part of what ‘slid’ out to become the bed, already made up! It was a great alternative to those of us ‘older’ folk with bad knees and a healthy fear of loft ladders that comes with age.
Great to see that awesome design is alive and well on both sides of the puddle, and that there is still nothing new under the sun!

There are several THs with that design. One by Dan Louche was featured on the site; I didn’t care for that one very much–it was a bit more minimalist than I am. Another is the Minim house. There were two versions of it on the site, and I think one of them is the house you were referring to.

My issue with this, and the TH designs that use it, is the “bar” type eating table. I’d like to see some sort of backsplash, just to keep me from spilling food over the back side…yes I have the talent, or clumsiness, to do just that.

And if I’d just kept reading the comments, I’d have seen Alex supply the link to Dan Louche’s house! That’ll teach me to read ’em all before I comment!

Love the storage steps and the bed that slides under the catwalk kitchen.
I’m making notes to myself about some of these ideas like, how about take a tiny house on wheels (THOW) with the kitchen at the opposite end from the front door and raise it so you have a trundle bed hidden under the step-up kitchen floor? This way, you can keep the loft for storage, or for the kiddies while the adults sleep on the main floor. This is a good idea for seniors; no ladders OR stairs to navigate at night when Nature comes a-calling! And when you get up, just shove the bed into its drawer and begin your day!!!

Dan Louche at tinyhomebuilders.com has designed a Studio (on wheels) that incorporates some of the same ideas as this apartment, such as the sofa/bed slide in on the main level, raised kitchen, storage steps. I encourage folks to check his site.

The architect’s website lists this one as 16sqm (172 sq ft) – so it’s a lot bigger than the stated 12sqm/130 sq ft! It shows, too. Very nice design, though.

The architect has, however, done a similar studio with roll-out bed in 12sqm, which I believe was also feature on Tiny House Talk.

European designs always amaze me. They know how to utilize every inch of a place in style. Although I am not as fond of very modern designs, this one is incredible, and in Paris too. What more can you ask for? I would live here in a heart beat.
